JAMES MORRISON, who recently returned to Charleston after serving as an Army Drill Sergeant, has a Master's Degree in history from the Citadel and a Bachelor's Degree in Military History from American Military University. He worked as a historian/ tour guide for several years at the Old Exchange in Charleston. Since he is a glutton for punishment, he is currently working on a law degree through Concord Law School and finishing part II of Alcohol, Boat Chases, and Shootouts!
He served for four years in the Marine Corps, two years in the Army National Guard, and has been in the Army Reserve since 2004. He also volunteered with the Coast Guard Auxiliary for three years. He has had three military occupational specialties: logistics, infantry, and military police. He was deployed to seven different countries and spent seven months aboard the USS NASSAU with MARINE EXPEDITIONARY UNIT 22.
